Section 1 - Holy Scripture
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men who were supernaturally inspired; that it has truth without any admixture of error for its matter; and therefore, is and shall remain to the end of the age, the only complete and final revelation of the will of God to man; the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
By the "Holy Bible," we mean the collection of sixty-six books, from Genesis through Revelation, which as originally written does not only contain the Word of God but is the every Word of God, fully verbally inspired of God. By "inspiration" we mean, the extraordinary supernatural influence exerted by the Holy Ghost on the writers of our Sacred Books, by which their words were rendered as the words of God and therefore, perfectly infallible. 2 Peter 1:19-21; Exodus 20:1; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119:89; Psalm 60; Proverbs 30:5,6; John 5:39; 1 Corinthians 2:13
Section 2 - The Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; that they are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. Isaiah 44:6; 45:5-6; 2Corinthians 13:14; Deuteronomy 6:4; Luke 3:21-22; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19; Deuteronomy 4:35; John 10:30; John 10:38; John 14:9-20
Section 3 - Angels
We believe that angels are created, spirit-beings of various ranks and orders. This company of everlasting beings is superhuman in intelligence and strength. They were created holy and good but due to sin, many fell from their holy estate and are now condemned in wickedness. Those who preserved their integrity are God's messengers, executing the Lord's purpose, whereas the fallen angels execute Satan's desires in hindering God's work and afflicting God's people. Jude 9; Daniel 12:1; Genesis 3:24; Isaiah 6:2,6; 2Peter 2:4;Jude 6; Mark 8:38; Matthew 4:6; Colossians 1:16; Psalm 104:4; Acts 5:19; Psalm 148:2,5; Hebrews 1:14
Section 4 - Satan
We believe that Satan was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors, but through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels; that he is now the malignant prince of the power of the air, and the unholy god of this world. He is man's great tempter, the enemy of God and His Church, the accuser of the saints, the author of all false religion. 1 Timothy 3:6; Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:14-17; Revelation 12:9; Jude 6; 2 Peter 2:4; Matthew 4:1-3; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 1 John 4:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4
Section 5 - Creation
We believe in the Genesis account of creation and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God's own image and after His own likeness; that the creation of man was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species, or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms, and that all animal and vegetable life was made directly. Genesis 1; Ex 20:11; Matthew 19:4-5; Acts 4:24; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 11:3; Jonah 1:3; Revelation 10:6; Romans 1:20
Section 6 - Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners totally depraved, not only by nature, but by choice. Mankind is therefore under just condemnation, without excuse or defense, dead in trespasses and sins, and incapable of saving himself. Genesis 2:16-17; Genesis 3; Romans 5:12, 19, 23; Romans 1:18-32; John 3:18, 36; Romans 5:10
Section 7 - Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift from God; free in the fact that it has been provided by the vicarious atonement of Jesus Christ; a gift in the fact that it is received by man and not earned through any merit of his own, and that any man who by faith accepts God's free gift of salvation does become a child of God and is regenerated from one dead in trespasses and sins to one made anew and indwelt by the Holy Ghost. Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 2:2; 1 Peter 3:18; John 6:44; Romans 10:17; John 3:3
Section 8 - Eternal Security
We believe that all truly regenerated persons are eternally saved in Christ, that such only are real believers who endure unto the end, that their persevering attachment to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors, that a special providence watches over their welfare, and that they are kept by the power of God through faith unto eternal salvation. John 8:31-32, 36; Colossians 1:21-23; 1 John 2:19; Matthew 13:19-21; Romans 8:28; 1 Peter 1:5-9; Philippians 1:6; John 10:27-29; 1 John 5:13; Jude 1: Jude 24; 1 John 1:7
Section 9 - The Church
We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible confession of faith, associated by covenant in the faith, fellowship, and, worship, and work in the spreading of the gospel. We believe that the local church is completely self-governing, independent, with no other person or organization having any authority, right of intervention or control in any form. Acts 2:41-42; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 14:23; Acts 6:5-6; 1Timothy 3; Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 1:18; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Genesis 14:20; Matthew 23:23
Section 10 - Heaven
We believe in a literal place of eternal bliss called Heaven. It is the place where the departed righteous go after they experience physical death. It is the abode of God and it is the place prepared by the Lord Jesus Christ for His bride. Revelation 21:3; John 14:2-3; Hebrews 13:14; Proverbs 2:7; Revelation 2:7; 2 Peter 3:13; Acts 7:55-59; Luke 23:42-43
Section 11 - Hell
We believe in a literal hell as spoken of by our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a place prepared for the devil and his angels burning with fire and brimstone which is the final eternal abode of all unbelievers. John 3:36; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 21:8; Luke 16:23, 26; Matthew 25
Section 12 - Ordinances
We believe in two ordinances for the local church: baptism and the Lord's supper. We believe that baptism is for believers only and that it therefore follows salvation. Thus, we do not believe in infant baptism. We believe that baptism is to be done by immersion and that such baptism is not a means of salvation. Therefore we will not accept any baptism related to unscriptural doctrines. Matthew 28:19-20; Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-5; Mark 1:9-10; 1 Peter 3:21; Acts 18:8; Galatians 3:27; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:21-24; Matthew 26:26-30
Section 13 - Last Things
We believe in the rapture of the church and that following such that there will be a literal seven year period of tribulation; that at the end of such tribulation Christ will return with His saints to reign upon the earth for 1,000 years; that at the end of the millennial reign all men will be judged, and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire along with all unbelievers. 1Thessalonians 4:13-17; 1Corinthians 3:11-15; Daniel 9:20-27; Revelation 4:20; Matthew 24; Jude 6; 2Peter 2:4; Acts 1:11
Section 14 - Tongues
We believe that tongues as mentioned in the Bible and as defined in the Greek manuscript as "language" was a gift used by the Holy Spirit during the early church for the furtherance of the gospel and ceased after the completion of the Holy Scriptures. It is by no means necessary for today's church nor is it a sign of one's salvation. Acts 2:3-4; 2:11; 10:46; 1 Corinthians 12:10, 28-31; 13:8; 14:5-6
